This time, I’d like to share a video featuring Szonja, a longtime client of my recording studio.
She recently reached out to me to record a version of the Skeeter Davis song “I Can’t Stay Mad at You.” I was so pleased with the final result, the vocal performance and the way the song turned out that I wanted to share the video with you.
The music was created from scratch, with every instrument recorded individually. It’s a brilliant production. I hope you enjoy it.
I can’t stay mad at you – not only a custom backing track
After the backing track was recorded in the studio, Szonja recorded her vocals at her studio in the UK and then sent me the WAV files so I could handle the mix.
We worked closely together for quite some time, and the results speak for themselves: fresh, brilliant instrumentation, the warm sound of her wonderful voice, and a video that takes us back to an era when music came straight from the heart.
